How to setup and import to Premiere and how to convert video

  1. Open Adobe Premiere and Select 'New Project'
  2. Select an appropriate location to save your new project (your iMedia folder) and give it a suitable name, click OK.

  3. From the New sequence menu select your video type. as a general rule DV Pal and Standard 48 kHz is the best setting for our footage, this should be the setting it appears on when it loads. Give your Sequence a name, Unit 3, for example, click OK.

  4. Go to File > Import and bring in all of your Media (video clips, music. images). If you cannot see you video clips, follow the next steps as they may be filmed in an old format.
  5. Open Any Video Converter
  6. Go to File > Select Output folder and select the folder you want yourconverted clips to save to. If you do not do this, you will not be able to access your files afterwards. Click OK.
  7. Add your video clips you wish to be converted. Click OK.
  8. Select 'Apple TV MPEG-4 Movie' from the list of available outputs. This will give a nice crisp final product.



  9. Click Convert Now
  10. Import these newly converted clips into Premiere
